Exciting News: The ADINA Act (H.R. 3821) has been reintroduced!

The ADINA Act (H.R. 3821) was reintroduced into the 19th Congress on Friday, June 6, 2025 by U.S. Representative Kelly Morrison (MN-03). The ADINA Act is co-led by Representatives Mike Lawler (NY-17), Doris Matsui (CA-07), and Ben Cline (VA-06). This bill would amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to require the label of a drug intended for human use to identify each ingredient in such drug that is, or is derived directly or indirectly from, a major food allergen or a gluten-containing grain.

Because this bill was again reintroduced with bipartisan support in the House, we are hopeful that it gains traction. Gluten Free Watchdog is proud to once again endorse this bill. Please consider reaching out to your U.S. Representative to ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 3821. They can do this by contacting Daniela Puente (Daniela.Puente@mail.house.gov), Senior Health Legislative Assistant to Rep. Morrison and the primary contact for the Adina Act on Capitol Hill.

It is currently very difficult to discern whether or not medications contain gluten. I react to cross contamination and it can be very difficult to trace the source. Having to contact each manufacturer of foods and meds is time consuming and frustrating.
