Testing of Certified Gluten-Free Kids Original BBQ Chicken Pizza: 4 consumers ordered a certiifed gluten-free kids pizza from the certified gluten-free pizza section of the menu at CPK locations in California, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Utah. Consumers were provided with a standardized sample collection kit that included ordering and mailing instructions.

Survey of CPK managers: An additional 21 consumers contacted local CPK restaurants and asked the question “Is your certified gluten-free kids original BBQ chicken pizza appropriate for someone with celiac disease?” Restaurants in the following states were contacted: California, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee.

The restaurant provides an online menu including a listing of certified guten-free pizzas. See also https://cpk.mymenunutrition.com/. Set the preferences to "certified gluten-free." Please note that the online menu states that menu items may vary by restaurant.

The restaurant provides online gluten-free information including the following:

"Gluten-free pizzas are prepared using the strict procedures approved by The Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG), using a certified gluten-free crust and other ingredients verified by our suppliers as gluten-free. Please inform a manager of any allergies or special dietary needs (e.g. gluten intolerance) and consult our Allergen & Vegetarian/Vegan Menu Guide...Due to current kitchen space, only the pizzas listed on our separate Gluten-Free Pizza menu can be prepared using Gluten Intolerance Group-certified procedures."

According to the website of GIG’s Certified Gluten-Free Food Service, in 2019, all US locations of California Pizza Kitchen are certified.
