Gluten-free information on product packaging: Product packaging includes the letters GF inside a circle. It is unclear if this is the GFCO gluten-free certification mark. The package does not make a gluten-free claim using words. From the FDA, "the use alone of any symbol indicating the absence of gluten cannot serve as a substitute for the words 'gluten-free' or the terms, 'no gluten,'  'free of gluten,' or 'without gluten'."

UPDATE: September 24, 2018: GFWD reached out to GFCO about the "logo" on product packaging: "The logo on the packaging is an old version of the mark that GIG no longer authorizes. GIF will follow-up wiith Nuts.com about their continued use of a mark that has not been authorized by GIG."

The following information was also provided by GFCO: This is a product that is certified by GFCO, but GFCO posted an alert regarding nuts.com logo usage back in May: 5/4/18:  GFCO has learned that, prior to April 22, 2018, Nuts.com was using GFCO’s certification mark on at least one product that was not GFCO-certified gluten free.  To GFCO’s knowledge, Nuts.com is now using GFCO’s certification marks appropriately; however, if you purchased Nuts.com products prior to April 22, 2018, non-GFCO-certified products may incorrectly bear a GFCO certification mark.  And while Nuts.com assures GFCO that it has remedied the issue, it is possible that Nuts.com products may still incorrectly bear the GFCO certification mark.  Please contact GFCO to confirm the certification status of products purchased from Nuts.com prior to consuming or using them."
